Don’t sign that Agreement (yet)!

Do you feel comfortable that you understand the implications of everything in the Agreement?  Is there something that could come back to hurt you?  Is there anything left out that you would want to be in there to protect you?

Or would it just be better to have someone, on your side, explain the details of the document to you in plain language?

Whether it’s a severance contract, an initial employment agreement, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), a non-competition/non-solicitation agreement, or something else, employees often do not fully understand the significance of certain clauses the employer has inserted into the agreement. When, in fact, these clauses could have a big impact on their lives.

The lawyers at AndersonDodson, P.C. have a process to provide top-notch, high-quality, straight-forward, pragmatic legal analysis of employment contracts for a minimal fee.  We can quickly review your agreement for potential problems and advise you as to what makes sense to try to fight and what to leave alone.

Here is how our flat fee package works:

  1. You review and e-sign our limited engagement agreement online
  1. You answer some general background questions regarding points you'd like to cover during the conversation with the attorney, and upload the relevant documents
  1. You pay a flat fee of $500.00 online
  1. You speak with the lawyer in a scheduled phone call or online video conference that you can schedule for a time that is convenient for you.

For most people, this is the end of the commitment. However, if you do determine, through this process, that you would like additional assistance, such as negotiating on your behalf for more severance pay, or the attorney editing the language of your agreement, etc., then we can discuss your options for next steps.  Otherwise, through this process you should have clarity not only about what your options are, what typically happens in situations like yours, and what the laws and regulations are, but also about what decision is right for you so that you can move forward with confidence.
